How can he be more Irish than Afican? His father was 100% Afican, so he's 50%. The song mentioned a great-grandfather as being Irish, which would be 1/8th. The fractions of 1/2 and 1/8th are fine and wonderful or whatever. But, the mentioned statement is obviously false -- what's the point of it?

rc, his father was from the Arabic side of Kenya, and may be as much Arab as African (Black). His great grandfather was Irish, and I believe as were his white lineage (Scot-Irish). Hence he could be said to be 50% Scot-Irish, 25% Arab, and 25% Black. Oddly, we don't really know, since much of his past is obscure. But does it matter?
