Lewa Conservatory, Kenya

February 22, 2007

Lots of Rhinos in the Lewa Rhino Reserve. This is a White Rhino. The name is supposedly a corruption of Wide Rhino, for their broad mouth; Black Rhinos have a narrow mouth. Both look about the same color, and are usually covered in mud. White Rhinos are grazers, and travel in packs; Black Rhinos are browsers, and travel alone. Or is it the other way around?
