Rumor: Cheney to Resign; Rice as V.P. Hmm, I wonder who floated this?
After a Washington Post story suggesting that Vice President Dick Cheneys office is involved in the Plame-CIA investigation, rumors are flying around Washington that Cheney might step aside and be replaced by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. "If that should happen, there will undoubtedly be those who believe the whole thing was orchestrated, another brilliant Machiavellian move by the VP," a White House insider told Paul Bedard of U.S. News & World Report. Some observers are whispering that the driving force behind the Rice-for-Cheney scenario is political pundit Dick Morris new book Condi vs. Hillary: The Next Great Presidential Race. In the book, Morris and co-author Eileen McGann warn that Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the U.S. unless she can be stopped.
Mt friend The Shyster (http://shyster.blogspot.com/) wrote me, "I'm most fascinated by the prospect of Cheney having to resign, Bush appointing Condoleeza as VP, and her storming to the nomination in 2008. If that happens, somewhere a British bookie will go broke having to pay off the one guy who took the 10M-1 odds that the first black, female, lesbian president in United States history would be a Republican."

Look, I confess. I floated this as a joke. Let everyone know.

Global warming is a lie crteead by world governments to control industry. The so called melting of the icecaps cannot scientifically happen. Proof of this is in the orbit and tilting of earth of poles AWAY from the sun. Further proof is in the effects supposedly caused by it would cause colder temperature not warmer. The co2 emissions are absorbed by plant life, producing oxygen. That is the truth about how nature takes care of all life on our planet. Deeper research from non governmental sources reveals set patterns of change in both directions, warm a while, cooler a while. " As long as the earh remains, the seasons will never cease in their circuits." From the mouth of our own.Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil and gasoline raises the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming. You can help to reduce the demand for fossil fuels, which in turn reduces global warming, by using energy more wisely.1.Reduce, Reuse, RecycleDo your part to reduce waste by choosing reusable products instead of disposables. Buying products with minimal packaging (including the economy size when that makes sense for you) will help to reduce waste. And whenever you can, recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans. If there isn't a recycling program at your workplace, school, or in your community, ask about starting one. By recycling half of your household waste, you can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.3. Buy Energy-Efficient ProductsWhen it's time to buy a new car, choose one that offers good gas mileage. Home appliances now come in a range of energy-efficient models, and compact florescent bulbs are designed to provide more natural-looking light while using far less energy than standard light bulbs.2. Use Less Heat and Air ConditioningAdding insulation to your walls and attic, and installing weather stripping or caulking around doors and windows can lower your heating costs more than 25 percent, by reducing the amount of energy you need to heat and cool your home.Turn down the heat while you're sleeping at night or away during the day, and keep temperatures moderate at all times. Setting your thermostat just 2 degrees lower in winter and higher in summer could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

First, you have to understand what glboal warming is and what it is not. Much of the damage done by humans is through the use of resources that are not replaceable use of oil, minerals, ores, and so on in less than geological time periods (millions of years). In that sense, the damage is permanent. However, that damage doesn't always result in glboal warming. The most important greenhouse gas is water vapour, not carbon dioxide. Here's a little nasty thought: many of the so-called solutions to stop generating carbon-based pollution (carbon dioxide, methane, etc.) are about getting water as the output, especially the so-called "green" solutions. If we increase the amount of water in the atmosphere, then we are more likely to hold heat in the atmosphere. So, maybe many of the "green" solutions are likely to cause greater problems than increasing the carbon content .
