Obama Nation is Palinizing Joe Plumber

 We know more about Joe the plumber in 24 hours than we have learned about Barack Obama in 24 months.  The most trenchant history of Obama does not show up in the MSM.  The fix is in according to Instapundit:

"Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working."

Joe is not running for anything; the feeding fenzy of the MSM and both Obama and Biden to Palinize him is obscene.  This is already backfiring.  Now the law is moving against Joe.  Is pushing the law to get a dissenter a harbinger of the Obama administration?  In attacking him they attack the American Dream.  Did Obama just blow the election?   

Reading the transcripts of what Joe is saying is instructive as to why he needs to be Palinized.  He wants the American Dream - in this case, owning a plumbing business.  He doesn't believe in taxing the rich and redistributing it - that is "socialism."  He also notes the slippery slope of breaking the tax system into a redistribution scheme: why stop at $250k?  Why not lower it next time to $150k?  He particularly complains of punishing people for their success (and implicitly giving to people who are not trying).  The subtext of what he is saying turns Obama's class-warfare appeal on its head:

Obama:     Take from the rich and give to you

Joe:          Take from people like me and give to people he likes

He has to be destroyed because he is the first to cry out:

"Look!  The Messiah has no clothes!"

But there is much more to this than that.  This whole campaign has been noisy. Why?  Maybe it is the Obama Playbook.

Pundits decry Rovian tactics in elections; Obama has gone Rove a step farther, and integrated Saul Alinisky tactics to the Rovian wonderland of modern elections.  Alinsky is the ur-community organizer. The Obama Playbook is straight from Alinsky's Rules For Radicals.  Alinsky's rules include (emphasis added):

• "Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat."

• "Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

• "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

• "The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself."

• "In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."

• "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." (Think Gingrich, Lott and the success of name-calling used by the likes of Bill Clinton, Paul Begala, James Carville, Maxine Waters and others against conservatives and Republicans. Think of how Clinton "enemies" like Paula Jones or Linda Tripp were treated.)

• "One of the criteria for picking the target is the target's vulnerability ... the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract." (Trent Lott comes to mind. Meanwhile, a former Klansman by the name of Sen. Robert Byrd got away with saying "nigger" on Fox News at least three times, and he still maintains his Senate seat and power.)

• "The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength." For instance, Democrats imply conservatives are racists or that Republicans want to kill senior citizens by limiting the growth of the Medicare system, they imply Republicans want to deny kids lunch money without offering real proof. These red-herring tactics work.

If you think that Obama is not a party to this, take a close look at what Obama did in Kenya to help Odinga try to steal a recent election.  A supposed strategy document of the tactics has been exposed.  The report continues (emphasis added):

Obama's involvement amounted to a coordination with Odinga on the campaign, according to the sources.

The general tone of the strategy was to encourage the Odinga campaign to claim to be leading in the  presidential race regardless of the actual numbers and be prepared to proclaim victory even if Odinga lost. The officials poll results showed he lost to the incumbent by about 250,000 votes.

The plan called for "opportunities" for Odinga to pursue, including efforts to "exploit anti-Kikuyu statements," with a determination to "leverage the vulnerability of the Kibaki administration responses to corruption" and confront Kibaki with "a powerful anti-corruption message."

The final strategy the document calls for is exploiting ethnic tensions and using "violence as a last resort" to gain power. Among the 1,000 killed, reports say, were several dozen women and children who died when the Christian church in which they had sought refuge from marauding Muslim gangs was burned down around them.

The ex-ODM sources said Odinga followed the strategy script exactly, including his ultimate use of tribal conflict to gain power.  While Odinga never had explicitly demanded violence, the former ODM sources said Odinga used "code language" to his Luo backers to convey the instructions to burn Kikuyu homes, rape women and kill men.

Obama's part in the strategy was to openly attack the Kibaki administration in meetings where Odinga was in a very public attendance at Obama's side, the sources said.  (Which he did; an example of this is here.) 

There are lots of links to Obama and Odinga.  Odinga is from the same tribe as Obama, and they had joint appearances in Kenya in 2006.  Obama visited Kenya three times during this period.  He apparently also raised $1m to finance Odinga's campaign.  Here is a video outlining the many ways Obama campaigned for and assisted Odinga.  

The most troubling part of this is that Odinga's agenda was to impose an extreme form of Muslim law on a Christian country.  A photocopy of a Memorandum of Understanding, dated and signed on August 29, 2007, between Raila Odinga and Shiekh Abdullah Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya, provides: 

* It pledges the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila’s election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees to 14 actions, listed a) through n) on page two.

* Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.

* Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters. [Note: everywhere in Kenya, not just in “Muslim declared regions.”]

* “Popularize Islam, the only true religion… by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes.”

* “Impose a total ban on open-air gospel crusades by worshippers of the cross…”

* “Outlaw gospel programs… on KBC, the National Broadcaster.”

* “Impose a total ban on the public consumption of alcoholic beverages…”

* “Impose an immediate ban on women’s public dressing styles that are considered immoral and offensive to the Muslim faith…”

In the middle of a Global War on Terror, its seems extraordinary that a major party candidate would so openly aid and abet the other side in that War.  As the Washington Times concluded:

Mr. Obama's judgment is seriously called into question when he backs an official with troubling ties to Muslim extremists and whose supporters practice ethnic cleansing and genocide. It was Islamic extremists in Kenya who bombed the U.S. Embassy in 1998, killing more than 200 and injuring thousands. None of this has dissuaded Mr. Obama from maintaining disturbing loyalties.
