Well if the overall stock market and economy were to bottom out in 2 or 3 years then the economic leaders five or six years for now should emerging today, even though that might sound strange to the average investor. They probably get VC funding now or get bought out or merged then they will IPO in a few years. Perhaps we need to call it a Pre-IPO Bubble. Well, it makes for a better stor
y than the "only gold bugs will survive" thesis.

The dirty little secret on gold: if the Fall 2008 low was a corrective low and if the rally since has been impulsive then the Great Gold Bull Market may have put in five waves.
I have the rally from Fall 2008 as a 'B' of 4 but I still think gold declines soon.

So a decline in stocks should also lead to a decline in gold. Yes, gold will rally off the ultimate stock/economic low-- but so will all these new emerging tech stocks, and probably much more.
